Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Tastefully Simple

Cheesecake?  Who doesn't love cheesecake, I mean really is there someone who doesn't?  Okay well maybe my son and I just don't get it.  Nothin' says lovin' like a fresh cheesecake outta the oven and you know what's even better?  It's not hard!  This recipe was submitted to us by our very own headquarters resident chef, Rosemary.

Ingredients

1 Box of Strawberry SwirlBuckle (tm) Cake Mix
3/4 cup water
6 tablespoons melted butter divided
8oz softened cream cheese
1 large egg
3 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  • Measure out 1/2 cup of cake mix and set aside
  • Combine remaining mix, water and 3 tablespoons of melted butter; stir until well blended
  • Pour batter into a greased 8 inch square baking pan
  • In separate bowl combine cream cheese, egg and sugar; stir to blend.  Spoon cream cheese mixture over cake; drizzle contents of strawberry filling packet over cream cheese mixture
  • Sprinkle with remaining dry mix
  • Drizzle with remaining melted butter
  • Bake at 350 F for 45-55 minutes or until center is just set
  • Cool completely makes about 6 servings
